A group of young sports leaders has passed a Volleyball England course with flying colours.

The Year 9 students were presented with certificates from Volleyball Ball England for successfully participating in its Volleyball Young Event Award Course.

The Award is aimed at 14 to 19 year olds and is suitable for students, young club members or anyone wishing to develop their leadership skills through volleyball activity.

The course has been developed with the aim of providing young people with the knowledge and skills to volunteer at a national or international volleyball event or take a lead in organising a volleyball event in their school, college or club.

Passing the course means the students have the skills required to be a line judge, a courtside assistant, a scoreboard assistant, an event administrator and a Team Liaison Volunteer  and they are able to assist the media with the coverage of an event.
