03-12 Talent Show will benefit Corby Foodbank

Preparations are well under way for our fundraising Christmas Talent Show.

Preparations are well under way for our fundraising Christmas Talent Show.

Students and staff will perform a variety of acts, featuring singing, dancing, gymnastics and acting, at the show which will be held in aid of Corby Foodbank.

Tickets will be available from Monday 8th December, in exchange for donations of food for the charity, on a first come, first served basis.

Teacher Markus Wilson said: “It’s the first time we’ve done a talent show of this size and we’ve got a great mix of fantastic acts.

“I think people will be surprised by the high quality of the performances.

“We’re holding the show in aid of Corby Foodbank and so instead of asking people to pay for their tickets with money we’ve asked for donations of food.”

The 15 student acts have been divided into three categories – singing, drama, and dance and gymnastics.

Each group is mentored once a week by our very own X-Factor style mentors, Mr Wilson, Mr Bidwell and Miss Feeley.

The show will start at 7pm on Wednesday 17th December in the school’s theatre.

Students can purchase tickets in advance by donating a variety of foods, including tinned foods, packet foods, long life milk and long life or dilute fruit juices, bags of rice and pasta, powdered custard, jarred sauces, sugar, coffee and tea to Mr Wilson.

A food collection for Corby Foodbank will also be held on the night.
