Young athletes showed off their skills at our first whole school Sports Day.

Our Sports Day featured students excelling themselves in a range of traditional sports, including shot put, javelin, discus, track events and a tug of war contest.

CTS PE Teacher Dan Rogers said: “There were some fantastic individual performances and brilliant team efforts as well.

“There was a great atmosphere and it was great to see students supporting older and younger students in their houses.”

7C won the Year 7 competition, 8T won their year group, 9T won their group and 10S was top of the Year 10 group.

The tutor group with the highest score was 9T and the overall winner of the competition was Telford House.

Special mentions were given to:

* Year 7’s Rachael and Ewan for their success in the track events

* Year 8’s Kelci for finishing first in the 200m

* Year 8’s Logan for his success in the track events

* Year 9’s Mya for performing consistently well over a large number of events

* Year 9’s Solomon for his performance in the discus

* Year 9’s Rhys for his success in the track events

* Year 10’s Malika for her success in the discus
