Year 7 student Lexi achieved a respectable place in the East Anglian Trophy Inter County Cross Country race.

She qualified to run the race after winning the U13 District Cross Country Championships and came 6^th in the County Championships.

During the Inter County race, which took place in Ipswich over the weekend, Lexi managed to achieve overall 11^th place and 3^rd for Team Northants having been up against hundreds of other competitors throughout each stage of the competition.

Lead Teacher of PE and Vocational Studies Mr Daniel Rogers said ‘Lexi has done brilliantly well throughout the competition. She has been up against tough competition at each race and has achieved fantastic results every time. Her drive and ambition is very inspiration and we are all very proud of her.’

Lexi now has two upcoming races including a national competition taking place in London at the end of this month, we wish her the very best of luck.
