A new competition has been launched to encourage students to develop their reading and writing skills.

A new competition has been launched to encourage students to develop their reading and writing skills.
Students at CTS have been asked to write a recommendation of between 100 and 200 words on a book of their choice.
The competition was launched by CTS director of English, Markus Wilson, who was inspired to come up with the idea by the three books he always finds himself recommending.
He said: "The three books I always recommend to people are I, Lucifer by Glen Duncan, The Five People You Meet in Heaven by Mitch Albom and The Stand by Stephen King.
"I'm looking forward to reading the students' recommendations and the winner will receive copies of my favourite three books."
Students should submit their entry to Mr Wilson by week six.
