Artist and adventurer Charles Bezzina gave an inspirational talk to Year 9 students at Corby Technical School about his polar adventures which saw him living with Inuits and painting in both the Arctic and Antarctic.
Frederick HundertwasserThe last few terms have been a busy time for our Art Department at CTS. Students have been exploring a range of artists including Frederick Hundertwasser and Henry Moore and have worked in a range of media. GCSE students have submitted their coursework and are now preparing for their exam, which will take place in April.
iPads have been incorporated into Year 7 art and design lessons as part of a month-long study to see how iPads can be used most effectively in schools.
On Thursday, a group of female students from CTS took part in ‘Women in STEAM’, an event held at Rockingham Motor Speedway, which encouraged female students to consider STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Design, and Maths) based Higher Education choices by exposing them to the potential career options the subjects could lead into.
