Young scientists from our school will learn about energy in a show packed with fireballs, rockets and exploding hydrogen balloons.

A group of our students will see Science Museum Live’s Energy Show when it comes to the Derngate Theatre in Northampton next week.

CTS Director of Science Victoria Khan said: “The show will help to make the topic of energy really exciting for our students.”

The theatre show follows the story of two futuristic science students who race against time to prove their knowledge of energy.

With help from the incredible virtual lab-assistant, i-nstein, and a steampunk workshop full of gadgets and chemicals, they explore, experiment and explode anything and everything they can find, live on stage.

During the show methane bubbles will be set alight to make fireballs, hydrogen balloons will explode and rockets will be fired into the audience.

The show has been produced by the Science Museum in London.
