CTS recently competed in the U13 District Cross Country Championships at West Glebe Park.

The Championships consisted of both an individual and team competition. Teams were made up of the fastest four competitors from each school. Year 7 students Lexi, Leila, April and Amelia made up the CTS team. Each of the girl’s scores were added together to create an overall score.

The CTS team managed to win overall first place, beating Bishop Stopford by one point to claim the victory. Lexi also managed to finish in first place in the individual rounds after maintaining her lead comfortably from the beginning to the end of the race.

Lexi and Leila have now qualified to represent the District team at the County Championships in January.

PE Teacher Mr Dan Rogers said ‘The girls prepared really well and they later reaped the rewards of their professional approach to the competition.’
