As part of the British Heart Foundation’s Heart Start course staff from Corby  fire station came along on Wednesday, May 29th  to teach students Emergency Life Support skills.
All students were tasked with learning vital skills, such as how to put people into the recovery position and how to give rescue breathes.

The students will now receive a certificate after completing the afternoon session which took place during the weekly STEM

Teacher Victoria Khan said: “First aid skills are invaluable and can save lives. Our students are now better qualified for if they ever find themselves in a position where somebody needs help.”

Student Robbie said: “I found the course really interesting and it was my first introduction to first aid. I am glad that I now have these skills and would like refresher courses in the future to keep them up to date.”
