SEND

We understand that this is a challenging time for all families in which to be trying to create a good home learning experience for their child, and are aware of the fact that children with SEND may find this situation particularly difficult to cope with. The most important thing to note is that there is no expectation for any child to complete the work we set. Our priority is ensuring that children feel safe and emotionally healthy. Nevertheless, we recognise that for many of our students, the opportunity to study at home will provide them with something purposeful to engage with each day, some continuity, and the chance to develop and apply the skills and knowledge that they have acquired at school.

Many students with SEND will be capable of following tasks set to their whole class by their usual teacher on Teams. However, some may need some additional support with this.

If your child has SEND and requires extra support or resources,        email: homelearning@corbytechnicalschool.org who will work with the SEND department to provide this for you
