Our Governing Body

Paul Shepherd - Staff Governor

I joined the governing body in Sept 2023 and I am currently Head of Geography and also the Duke of Edinburgh Manager at Corby Technical School.  I have been teaching since 2011 and I am passionate about helping all students to achieve their full potential and to become confident young adults. Before becoming a teacher, I had many different careers all of which, I have taken something from that I feel has helped me to further support students to achieve academic success.  I joined Corby Technical School in August 2022 and fully support the school ethos and feel a valued member of the school community. In my spare time I volunteer for LIVES in Lincolnshire as a first responder to give something back to the community I live in. In addition I also volunteer my time to being a lighting and sound engineer to my local amateur dramatic group and regularly support local productions.  All these experiences help give me a lot of perspective and I strongly feel I can use my skills to the role of staff governor.

She holds a dual honours degree in Pharmacology & Chemistry from The University of Sheffield, and an MA in Creative Writing from The University of Leicester.
