Members of our brilliant Book Club have been examining the books shortlisted for this year’s CILIP Carnegie and Kate Greenaway Children’s Book Awards.

The club meets every Tuesday after school in the Library (pictured) and is always keen to welcome new members.

CTS English Teacher Claire Lawton said: “We wanted to take part in the Carnegie Shadowing scheme to open our students’ eyes to the very best contemporary literature for young people.

“Our Book Club members have a lot of fun and they are really engaged with the books.”
