Corby Technical School held its annual Christmas Showcase on Wednesday 21st December where once again a wide variety of acts were performed by students to entertain peers and parents alike.

Highlights included: a re-enactment of the World War One Christmas Day truce (where British and German soldiers emerged from the trenches to exchange gifts and play football); a physical theatre performance based on ‘Do You Hear What I Hear’ from the Nativity Story; a selection of German poetry and carol performances from students across the school; as well as a wide assortment of Christmas readings and recitals.

“Students worked incredibly hard and should be congratulated for all their dedication to the show” said Mrs. Arnold (Vice Principal) “The quality of the pieces they performed really showcased the skills and talents of our students here at CTS.”

Students who were unable to attend the show were treated to a condensed mini-performance as part of the school’s festive celebrations.

As is CTS tradition all proceeds from the event were gifted to Corby Food Bank.  Year 11 students also organised a cake sale for the Ehlers Danlos Society that rasied £39.70, thank you to all who supported.
