Due to Katie’s success, she has qualified to take part in the National Individual Finals, which will take place at the Motor point Arena in Nottingham next month.

Katie said: ‘The atmosphere was absolutely brilliant and everyone was cheering. I am a little disappointed that I did not achieve a medal but there was only 0.1 points between 5th and 3rd place and I gave my routine my everything. I really proud of myself as I have qualified and improved my personal best.

‘I am now really looking forward to the National Individual Finals as I have never got this far before in my 4 years of competing and will be going into the competition as 5th in my country.’
