25-02 Business leaders hold networking event at school

Our school was honoured to host the latest networking session for business leaders from across Corby.

Our school was honoured to host the latest networking session for business leaders from across Corby.

We welcomed more than 20 members of Corby Business Group to their February Business Breakfast this morning.

The event helped to further enhance our profile in the business community and gave business leaders the chance to find out more about our school.

Vice Principal Linda Arnold said: “The event went very well. We gave the visitors a brief talk about the school and they toured our facilities.

“They were very interested to see how we prepare students for the world of work. One of the visitors commented that it didn’t feel as if they were in a school because the atmosphere was so calm – it felt more like they were in an office.

“It was an honour for us to host the event and it has further strengthened our relationships with the business community.

“As a result businesses have indicated they would be keen to offer Career Taster Sessions to our Year 10 students next year.”

The event was attended by representatives from GSS Architecture, Grant Thornton, Hi Bond Tapes, Towergate Insurance, Independent Life & Pensions Group, Classic Catering, S C Agency, Moore Stephens, Tresham College, BRI Northampton, Tollers Solicitors, Corby Borough Council, Green & Grey Estate Agents, Gateway HR, S A C Construction Ltd and Wilson Browne Solicitors.
