A talented young gymnast has returned from her latest competition with a haul of medals.

Year 7 student Brize competed in the Tulips championship in Spalding this month and won a silver in the bars contest, a bronze in the beam competition and was awarded bronze overall in the 11-13 age group.

Her latest wins takes her total collection of competition medals to four gold, one silver and four bronze medals.

Brize said: “I was really pleased with my performances. I’d been training for the competition every Saturday since Christmas so I was quite confident going into the event but I still didn’t expect to do as well as I did.

“My Dad, my gymnastics coach and my brother went along to the competition with me and they cheered me on.

“When I found out how well I’d done I was really shocked and very proud.”
