Our young sports stars showed off their talents at our Sports Day.

The event was held this week and included a variety of competitions, including 100m, 200m, 800m and 1,500m races, triple jump, long jump, ball throw, short relay, long relay and tug-of-war.

PE teacher Louise Feeley was full of praise for our students who competed on behalf of their tutor groups.

She said: “This event was our second sports day and our students did really well.

“Our talented athletes did very well and we also had some fantastic performances in terms of effort.

“I was impressed with Toni-Jayne who chose to compete in the 1,500m, a relay race and the 100m and was very tenacious.

“There were lots of students who went above and beyond for their tutor groups.

“We’re already looking forward to next year’s event.”

The Year 7 competition was won by 7T and the Year 8 competition was won by 8T.
