Year 9 students Joe and Sean and Year 8 students Joe and Katie came 6th out of 24 teams at the regional final of the UK Mathematics Trust 2015 Team Maths Challenge held at Caroline Chisholm School in Northampton.

CTS Director of Mathematics Linda Arnold said: “This is our best result at the competition and we were thrilled with the result.”

The Team Challenge promotes mathematical dexterity, teamwork and communication skills and includes a group round, a crossnumber round and a mathematical relay.

The students took part in a coaching session to prepare for the contest.

Students in Years 7 and 8 are now preparing for the UK Mathematics Trust individual Junior Maths Challenge which will be held on April 30th.
