16-12 Students create their own volcanoes

Our youngest students have been studying volcanoes to learn about their structure and how they impact on the environment.

Our youngest students have been studying volcanoes to learn about their structure and how they impact on the environment.

The group of Year 7 STEM students also created models of erupting volcanoes using sodium bicarbonate.

Science Teacher Stephen Cox said: “The students have been learning about past explosions and what those events did the environment.

“They also built their own volcanoes and did a presentation about the findings of their research.”
