Our Year 9 students visited the University of Northampton to learn about university life.

The students were given a tour of the university’s facilities, including the library, the lecture theatre and the campus.

They also learned about the plans for the university’s Waterside Campus which is due to open in September 2018.

Teacher Mark Bidwell said: “For many of the students this was the first time they had ever visited a university.

“They learned about how university life works and what would be expected of them there.

“They found out about the new Waterside Campus and were asked to give presentations about what they thought would help to make a perfect university.

“It is great that our students are encouraged to start thinking about university at this early age and we are very pleased to be developing strong links with our local university.”
