Student Christabel did the school proud during this week’s Corby and Kettering Athletics District Championship.

The talented student came fourth in both the 100m final and the high jump, after first winning her sprint heat.

Christabel, whose personal best time for the 100m is 13.3 said: “I messed up my start, so did not do as well as I could have, but I still really enjoyed the event.”

13 secondary schools from the two towns competed in the event at Rockingham final and 16 CTS students  took part.

Sport teacher Louise Feely said: “Christabel did really well, especially as she had not taken part in a high jump competition before.”
