A student has been devoting his free time to making fantastic 3-D Christmas decorations for our school.
Year 8 student Dmitrijs has been hard at work in our design and technology department using the school's 3-D printer to create snowflakes and stars during the past four weeks.
He said: "I wanted to use the 3-D printer from the minute I saw it arrive.
"Mr Barrett gave me permission to use it in my own time and so far I've had three goes on it.
"I've made Christmas decorations for the school and I'm now planning to make a pair of glasses but I'll need to set aside quite a bit of time to do that.
"I'd never seen a printer like it before and I really enjoy using it because you can create anything with it."
Dmitrijs downloaded designs for his Christmas decorations from a computer program and made them into files for the 3-D printer.
