CTS’s GCSE success stories

Here’s more about our top performing students and what they are planning to do next:

Matish (pictured right) achieved seven 9s and two 8s.

He said: ‘I am most pleased about my German results as I was shocked I got an 8 in that! It was mostly down to doing extra work at home and I am really surprised at these results. I am hoping to go on to A Levels and hopefully getting a degree in some sort of engineering. Mrs Reynolds said they were great results and I should be proud.

‘I have been at CTS since the end of Year 9. It was definitely a step up in terms of the work I needed to do compared to my old school in Croydon. The teachers here have definitely helped me to get these results.’

Maciej (pictured centre) was awarded four 9s, two 8s, two 7s and two 6s.

He said: ‘I feel very good. I am surprised about both my English results as I was expecting 5s and got a 6 and a 7. I am very happy about maths and computer science. I am going to do maths, further maths, physics and computer science at A Level. I am thinking about going to university for an engineering degree so it has helped coming to a technical school. I was thinking of maybe a career in the aerospace industry, that would be fun!

Martyna (pictured left) received a 9, three 8s, three 7s two 6s  and a 5.

She said: ‘I feel very happy. I worked hardest probably for my maths and will  be continuing her education at Brooke Weston Academy.  I am not sure what I want to do eventually. I have been at CTS for four years and have enjoyed it. The teaching has been good here.’
