03-02 CTS backs fundraising maths bonanza for NSPCC

Students will show off their mathematics skills this week to raise money for a children’s charity.

On Friday, our students will take part in a Numberathon Challenge to mark the NSPCC’s annual Number Day event which is a fun, nationwide maths fundraising event for children and young people.

They will be challenged to beat our teachers who competed in their own Numberathon Challenge earlier in the week.

Students have also been asked to get sponsored for completing as many times tables questions as they can in three minutes.

Vice Principal Linda Arnold said: “We have supported the NSPCC every year since our inception.

“All of our students are aware of Childline and the services offered by it.”

Prizes will be on offer to the students who raise the most money for the charity and for the form group which raises the most money.

The winner of our Teacher Numberathon Challenge was Mr Bidwell.
