Our scientists will have a fantastic chance to visit the Oxford Natural History Museum next week.

Nearly 30 Year 10 Triple Science students will visit the world famous museum to help further their Biology and Chemistry studies.

CTS Director of Science Victoria Khan said: “This will be the first time we have taken a group of students to the Oxford Natural History Museum and it’s a very exciting opportunity for them.

“The visit will help our students to learn about evolution and Darwin’s journey of discovery around the Galapogas Islands on the Beagle as part of their Life on Earth studies in Biology.

“There are fantastic resources there including displays about the evolution of humanoids which will enable the students to see the differences between different skulls and bone structures.

“They will also further their studies of Chemicals in Life in Chemistry by looking at rocks, rock formations and crystals.

“Even the pillars of the Museum are made from rocks from different time periods which are beautiful to look at and show you the different time periods as you walk around.”
