A series of yoga classes will be held at CTS to help improve our students’ well being.
The Rainbow Yoga classes will begin next week in response to a request from a group of our Year 10 students who wanted to learn relaxation techniques.
The classes are open to all students and will be run by a Hatha yoga teacher from the Inner Healing School who is also a trained nurse, midwife and health visitor.
CTS Attendance and Welfare Officer Emma Toye said: “These classes link to our school’s ethos that everyone here has a right to feel safe all the time.
“We hope the yoga sessions will empower the students to feel able to take control of their emotions and any anxieties they may have.
“The sessions will complement our Chill Skills group which is designed to help students manage their reactions to stress, anxiety and worry.”
The yoga classes will take place at 4.15pm on Wednesday 1st June, Wednesday 8th June, Wednesday 15th June and Wednesday 22nd June.
Students should wear comfortable clothes.
Our Chill Skills group meets every Thursday in the board room.
