A group of students interested in performing arts recently went on a trip to London to watch The Lion King.

The trip was aimed at GCSE students, whp course requires them to see shows and evaluate a live performance.

Drama teacher, Mr Stephen Cox said: ‘ The show was brilliant and the students were all really well behaved. Theatre trips help the students to get used to evaluating live performances and allow them to take on-board what the actor/actresses do that works effectively, which they can then incorporate into their own performances.’

‘The trip was not only attended by GCSE students but a group of Year 7 and 8 students who are interested in studying drama and wanted to gain an insight into the subject. We also took some students who performed in the school production of Oliver this year as a reward for all the hard work and hours they put into making the show a great success. We look forward to running more trips like this in the future.’
