Sixth Form Students learn first aid

Today, Year 12 students at CTS have taken part in their first of four first aid training sessions run by the Saint John’s Ambulance service.

Today, Year 12 students at CTS have taken part in their first of four first aid training sessions run by the Saint John’s Ambulance service.

During the first session the student have learnt about serve bleeding, burns and scalds. Students also had the opportunity to learn recovery position and had a go at putting on bandages.

By the end of term 1, each student will have completed the course and will be awarded their first aid training Certificate.

Head of Year 12, Mr Bidwell said ‘ I think it is really important that the students learn the basics of first aid. It is great to add to their UCAS applications but most importantly they could end up saving someone’s life.
