Each year, CTS students join thousands of registered reading groups across the UK and Internationally to shadow the judging process of the Carnegie book awards from March until June, when the overall winner of the competition will be announced. All years are welcome and students can sign up in the library.

Our students take part in weekly meetings where they share their thoughts on the shortlisted books and will decide who they think is the worthy winner. The scheme supports the reading for pleasure initiative and encourages students to read books they may not usually pick up.
