Drama

The intent of Drama in CTS is to engage and inspire all students, fostering creativity and confidence in performance skills whilst developing a deep understanding and appreciation of theatre and performing arts. We aim to provide a curriculum that is broad and balanced, exploring the history of drama from its foundation skills, and journeying to a point in which our students can confidently discuss, debate, and perform to a high level whilst focusing on the development of communication, team-working, and critical thinking skills with an emphasis on inclusivity, cultural diversity and social relevance.

"All the world's a stage, and all the men and women merely players. They have their exits and their entrances; And one man in his time plays many parts."
As You Like It, Act 2, Scene 7

This quote summarises how individuals go about their daily lives, interacting with one another. Through drama, we intend to allow our students escape from their own selves and put themselves into shoes of others.
