At Corby Technical School, the safeguarding and well-being of every student underpins every aspect of school life. Our aim is for every child to enjoy their time as a student at our school.
What is Safeguarding?
Safeguarding is the action that is taken to promote the welfare of children and protect them from harm.
At the moment we are focusing on:
- Protective behaviours- Ensuring our students realise that they have the right to feel safe all of the time.
- Restorative justice - Brings together people harmed by conflict with those responsible for the harm to find a positive way forward.
- Emotional health & well-being - We are encouraging our students to recognise the value of their emotions and use them to move their lives forward in positive directions, seeking support if they need further help.
Corby Technical School believes that it is of the utmost importance to have good systems for protecting children and safeguarding their welfare. This means that all those who work with children in the school must be alert to possible concerns about every student and report these appropriately.
