Theatre Makers in Practice

Exam Preparation

All students have been provided with a revision guide, which will aid them in the creation of revision resources. Students are required to understand key concepts in multiple disciplines including performer, director and designer. Students need to be confident in how to express themselves in each given role.

Students are encouraged to mind map for each of the individual roles and each character. Mind maps should include costume design, vocal and physical skills, key contexts and themes, styles and techniques, stage directions and key quotations to support their choices.

From Term 4, students can expect weekly homework which is given through the “Show My Homework” platform. The homework will require students to analyse a particular extract, focusing on one of the three roles. Students will need to arrive to their next lesson prepared with notes which will support their work in lessons.

Additional Support Sessions:

The department will be running an additional support session on Tuesday evenings from 4:15pm until 5pm.
