Year 7 place for September 2022

Application for school place in Year 7 in September 2022

All applications for a place at the School must be made through the Local Authority using the Common Preference Form. This can be accessed through this link – applications can be made online or by paper.

All applicants will be required to undertake a cognitive ability test – this is to ensure that the School admits an intake that is representative of the national ability range. This is not a pass/fail test and does not require any revision or preparation. It is a ‘non-verbal reasoning assessment’ which assesses how children analyse visual information (shapes and patterns) and solve problems. The test is usually held in early December. Applicants will be invited by Brooke Weston Trust to attend the assessment after the application deadline has passed.

Where more than 150 applications are received the following oversubscription criteria will be applied, further details on the oversubscription criteria can be found in the Admissions Policy.
