In Years 8 and 9 students are introduced to a wider range of sports, allowing them to utilise the skills they have learnt in Year 7. We have found that teaching similar topics across Year 8 and 9 helps students to gain a better understanding of the rules and improve their technique when they are taught the topic again in Year 9. In Year 8 and 9 students are taught rugby, netball, badminton, volleyball, trampolining, fitness, basketball, futsal, athletics and summer games.
In Year 9 we use the Head, Heart, Hands criteria to assess students, which can be viewed by clicking here.
