Creative and Performing Arts
The Level 3 Diploma and Extended Diploma in Creative and Performing Arts provide learners with skills, knowledge and understanding for entry to employment in the creative and performing arts industries or progression to further study at a higher level.
Learners completing these qualifications will have the skills to progress straight into the creative and performing arts industries. They are divided into specific pathways offering the opportunity to undertake specialised learning that can be accurately matched to specific career outcomes in the creative and performing arts industries. If the you don’t want a career in the creative and performing arts then this qualification will provide you with transferrable skills to study any subject at University or employment.
Acting
Learners will Perform effectively, rehearse and display acting skills, Initiate and develop repertoire, Understand contextual issues relating to acting styles, theatrical genres and the performing arts industry. This will assessed via a series of workshops, performances and written coursework.
Each learner will complete several Units including:
Approaches to Acting - Learning about 20th Century practioners
Audition Techniques (Acting) - How to complete an audition successfully
Contemporary Theatre – Looking in depth at a contemporary theatre company in the UK
Elizabethan and Jacobean Theatre A practical exploration of Shakespeare’s Works
Vocal Techniques (Acting) - How to create a voiceover
